Tug Thrax

         
 
During the early part of September 2007, we undertook the installation of a Furuno FAR2137S S-Band radar aboard the tug Thrax for the owners Ostensjo. The installation was undertaken while the boat was in dry dock at Small & Co in Lowestoft.

The new radar replaces the original Raytheon radar.

Thrax is on 24/7 duty at the Fawley oil marine terminal on Southampton water, providing escort and towage facilities. Thrax is operated by Solent Towage and works alongside Tug Tenax and workboats Ibex and Asterix.
