During the early part of 2008,
Gee's owner Chris Clayton approached Sargent Marine to undertake
installing the new electronics and rewiring the boat prior to the
start of the 2008 Round Britain Power Boat Race.
The work involved removing all the
original electronics and cabling, the re-installing the new
Raymarine electronics package, along with replacing all the rest of
the cabling aboard.
Gee then went racing and came first in
their historic class after a battle against close rivals on the 747
boat.
Sargent Marine were proud to have taken
part in the rebuild and congratulate Chris and the rest of the Gee
team on the winning performance.
